West Chester Area School Board Approves 2.83% Increase in Property Taxes

The West Chester Area School Board on Monday May 24th, approved a 2010-11 budget that includes a 2.83 percent property tax increase for the district’s Chester County residents.  The increase for Delaware County residents will be 0.7 percent.
Voting in favor of this year’s budget were Pimley, board President Jeff Seagraves, and board members Wingerter, Ricky Swalm, and Jim Davison.

Voting no on both were board Vice President Terri Clark and board members Heidi Adsett and Sean Carpenter. Board member Jim Smith was absent.
