District 6 debate
Due to inclement weather and for the safety of the candidates, audience and volunteers. The Pennsylvania Conservative Council is cancelling the District 6 Debate scheduled for Feb. 6th, 2010 at the Great Valley High School.
The Importance of Electing a Republican Slate in 2009
Our individual freedom and autonomy, the very heart of Constitutional limited government and free markets, is under unprecedented attack by Leftists now dominating the Democratic party and one-party rule. Although I rarely advocate electing a single-party slate, I think that this year presents an important case for electing the Republican judges at all levels.
Taxes and Budget
The grassroots conservative Tea Party firestorm crossing the country stopped on the corner of Market and High Streets in West Chester last Saturday. Four hundred people gathered, a vast cross-section of men, women, and children wearing tea bags and holding signs, and showed up to peacefully voice their collective discontent with taxation and government overreach. It certainly was newsworthy – but it apparently wasn’t news.
Open Space Untouchable?
Recently it has been implied a prioritization of open space within the County’s overall priorities is beyond discussion. County Controller Val DiGiorgio disagrees, and said as much recently in response to an editorial in the press.

The Great Water Heist
In the quest to “do something”, mandates on riparian buffers coming from the county level are little more than feel-good ordinances that put unreasonable restrictions on landowners. Riparian ordinances often end up creating ever larger buffers, so large that a homeowner’s property becomes untouchable, and at the same time not addressing the primary sources of water pollution: agriculture, industry, and waste treatment.
I want all the AIG bonuses paid, all $165 million of them. Congress, you see, just can’t seem to properly manage anything, other than managing blame-games when their own policies have caused unexpected circumstances. Back to the old, “It’s not my fault” routine. Hmm.
